Marvel Developing Deadpool and X-Men Crossover

Ryan Reynolds is actively developing a new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project that will feature a team-up between Deadpool and several X-Men characters. Following the massive success of Deadpool & Wolverine, which grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide, Reynolds is exploring a film that brings together Deadpool with three to four iconic mutants. Rather than a traditional Deadpool 4, this ensemble film aims to spotlight the X-Men characters, with Deadpool taking on a more supporting role.

The project is currently in the early stages of development and has not yet been officially pitched to Marvel Studios. Reynolds is working on various treatments for the concept, emphasizing his preference for ensemble storytelling over solo outings for Deadpool.

This potential film is separate from the ongoing X-Men reboot being developed by Michael Lesslie. However, it could serve as a bridge to introduce the new X-Men team into the official MCU, especially since many actors from the Fox-era X-Men films are returning for Avengers: Doomsday.

While no release date has been set, and the project awaits official approval, fans are excited about the prospect of seeing Deadpool interact with a broader range of mutants in the MCU. Reynolds' continued involvement ensures that the film will retain the humor and irreverence that have become hallmarks of the Deadpool franchise.
